The heightened sensitivity of Laura Rogeau

Laura Rogeau’s exacerbated sensitivity is reflected in her creations through abstract works and intuitive colour work guided by her feelings and a process of introspection. Her innate talent, her wandering imagination and her will to transmit her emotions through her paintings have led her to develop forms, movement, depth, an almost cosmic style where colours and materials mix.

She gives a contraction of reality or underlines the tears, the sensations through an interpretation which is her own. Her art thus dispenses with models and frees itself from fidelity to visual reality to transmit emotions and give free rein to her imagination in her creations. She does not paint subjects, scenes or objects, but only forms and colours, which play a fundamental role in evoking her own reality.

The work of colours is central in her paintings, resulting in an often very colourful ensemble, a wide range of sensations that give rise to forms. Laura creates spontaneously, giving structure to her emotions. The colour shades in her paintings are very sophisticated and the use of materials is subtle.
